I believe this old girl did some service with the NZ Fire Service ( residues of red paint)and later was owned by a local Christchurch engineering company because their sign writing is visible on the doors.
In the early seventies it was on a farm adjacent to a relative and subsequently purchased by him. $50 as he recalls but a tuneup did not go well and it never ran again. I tried to free the engine 20 or so years ago but was not successful and not much happened until I recently regained some interest and retrieved and relocated it. It attracted many positive responses on the trip home. I mean to get in touch with the surviving people from the engineering company. I believe they have a large photo collection.
